5-Step Verification Process

Sign Up on the App
Register on RideBelize app. Upload your police report (max 3 months old), driver's license, and insurance.

Choose Your District Centre
Select your nearest inspection centre. One location per district across all 6 districts of Belize.

Physical Inspection
Bring your vehicle to the centre. Our inspector checks all 16 safety points in person.
→ Takes approximately 30–45 minutes

Photo & Certificate
Inspector photographs the vehicle and issues a signed Pass or Fail certificate. Upload it to the app.
→ Certificate stored in your driver profile
5
Go Live & Earn
Approved drivers are activated on the platform within 48 hours of document review.
→ Re-inspection required annually

Police Report
Must be issued within the last 3 months. Obtained from the Belize Police Department. Older reports will be rejected.

Valid Belize driver's license for the vehicle class you're driving. Must be current and not expired.

PPV Licence
Public Passenger Vehicle licence from the Belize Department of Transport — required by law for all drivers carrying passengers for hire.

Green Plate Registration
Vehicle must be registered as a Public Service Vehicle and display a valid green license plate as required under the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 230.

Full coverage or liability insurance minimum. RideBelize's $2M surety bond supplements your coverage during active rides.

Pass a physical inspection at your district's RideBelize centre. 16-point safety check conducted in person by a certified inspector.

No Phone While Driving
Under Belize's Electronic Devices Regulations 2023, drivers must be fully stationary before accepting or interacting with any ride request in the app.
